Yesterday I had the honor of recording an episode with my good friend Ryan Chambers and his parents Carla and Ronnie. The episode was on the family impact of those in 911. It’s an episode you do not want to miss. It’s very emotional, but powerful. It drops next week. Thank you for the honor and trust to share your story and experience.

Good morning! You may or may not know this but during Open Mic LIVE or even a few days during Dare to be Great I have shared that I am drinking a @KILLCLIFF that has CBD. There are two versions. One is like an energy drink and the other is straight CBD. Both are delicious. My question is what is the perception of CBD in public safety? I know many people who use it and there are a few people in public safety who have gone on podcasts to talk about the benefits of it. So what are your thoughts. And remember, CBD is different from THC. Don't get me wrong, there are versions that have both and some CBD products could cause you to fail a drug test, BUT there are many THC-FREE CBD products that will NOT cause you to fail. Let me know in the comments! Kill Cliff is a company that I have wanted to work with for a while now so I'm curious what your thoughts are. Thanks!

It was an honor to sit and listen to the parents of Gabby Petito share their daughter’s story at Be the Difference 2025. I met them last summer and I look forward to having them on the podcast in the future to further share Gabby’s story and the impact of their work through the Gabby Petito Foundation.

This is the reality of working hard and believing in what you do. Especially when you’re on your own. They say consistency is KEY but do you see that bottom one? That is the reality. What makes it work is discipline. It’s not all fun and games. It’s not all trips and good times. It’s NOT easy. It takes time. It takes patience and when things get hard and you question your worth you remember why you started in the first place. You step back and reflect on the wins and the goals. That’s where the partially filled glasses of discipline fill up again with consistency and the good work you do. Keep pushing. You’ve got this!

Hold your head up high The landscape and perception of 911 has changed since 1968. From the technology to the profession to the way we talk about what we do, it has changed. February 16, 2025 we celebrate the very first 911 call placed in Haleyville, AL. And from there we celebrate the daily work of those who have answered the call for help since the beginning. Hold your head up high and thank you all! #dispatch #911dispatch #firstresponders

I’m excited, blessed, humbled, and honored to share that I will be taking part in this outstanding event to honor these 911 professionals through storytelling. This will also lead into a Latin Americas Edition/series of episodes to be featured on Within the Trenches podcast. I look forward to this and thank you for the opportunity. It means so much! (A big thanks to my friend Chapa for sending me this screenshot.)

The Greatest Show Back in May of 2024 I had the opportunity to take a tour of Ada County Sheriff’s Office while in the area for the Western Regional Conference. The center was not only awesome but they still had it decorated in a circus theme from NPSTW. I look forward to going back to visit. #dispatch #story #911dispatch #firstresponders

The Gift of Closure In 911 we don’t always get closure. There are times where we blame ourselves even though it is not our fault, but sometimes we do get that gift of closure and it’s something that I will always be grateful for. Sometimes all it takes is someone telling you that you did everything in your power to help save someone to help you push forward. Don’t ever be afraid to reach out and ask for help and if you think someone is struggling, please try to talk with them. (This is a clip from Open Mic Live on 2/3/25) #dispatch #story #911dispatch #firstresponders #iam911 #podcast
