As an airline pilot I often tell people the most unsafe part of my job is the drive to work. I’m just happy I was paying attention to the road, wearing my seatbelt, and that I wasn’t speeding because this could’ve ended way differently.

NEW JET ALERT. I received fantastic news today that I’ll be flying the Boeing 757 and 767 next. I’ll now be flying a heavy jet that seats over 220 passengers. I can’t wait to start doing flights to places like Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean (767-400 in photo)

For the few people that seem to think something ‘unsafe’ was done SAFETY is always the number one priority. This early arrival was due to a very short taxi, 160+ Mile Per Hour Tailwinds and an open gate in Atlanta super close to the landing runway. All factors aligned.
