@WertheimFilms Offer value - lots of people can send resumes but if you come prepared with a plan and ideas and the enthusiasm to want to execute for people, it makes a difference. Have a portfolio/website/reel. Speaks more than just a resume!

@ArchieKlumper Pay your bills first. I did a part time job (eventually FT) for a while back in the day, and worked on the projects I was passionate about on my free time. Eventually you’ll charge more for those projects and the snowball effect starts when you might be able to leave that job.

@alex_kolstee Don’t just ask “can I get a media pass” - offer value and your skills in exchange. Be calculated with your approach! Use proper grammar. Too many times I see people sending emails as if they were texts. Lazy and uninspiring to reply to. Attention to detail is huge.
