@MCWALLER3 @MikeBow29896639 No need to get personal! Mike just made a valid point. Chevy is not the only engine that can turn of 9k rpm. Look it up or go to a NHRA track or even circle tracks and listen to the Fords and Mopars.

Gee you Chebby guys sure like to dream. We can bench race all day on Ford vs Chevy! The reason he has to launch at 9k is because that 327 has NO TORQUE! They all had GREAT engines at one time or another. Ford also had engines that made MORE than 1hp per cubic inch and they were not fuel injected. (See below). Ford usually snaked the competition by underrating their engines and the competition would protest them at nearly every NHRA event. In all fun, I like any Muscle Car from the 60's & 70's NO MATTER the brand. Have a great day and thanks for starting the conversation. Oh and the guy, Mike, you are bench racing with isa first hand authority on Ford AND Chevy performance! He currently owns BOTH brands and has cars that most people, me included, can only DREAM about. And one more thing, hp don't get things moving torque does! Here are two Ford examples: 1960 352 360hp 1961 390 401hp 📸internet
