Todos esos opositores y comentócratas, enemigos de la patria, que en este momento están haciéndole el juego a @realDonaldTrump y sumándose a la narrativa de vincular al gobierno de México con el narcotráfico no merecen otra cosa que el basurero de la historia. Qué triste que sean tan miserables y que sigan cavando tan hondo su propia tumba. Apoyo absoluto a @Claudiashein

A reminder that Mexico’s huge trade surplus with the U.S. is an illusion. In value-added terms, trade is nearly balanced. Unfortunately, this is an argument unlikely to have any impact when Mexico is someone’s favorite piñata.

@kingofthecoastt I should have been more specific. The elasticities are sensitive to the type of weighting. The estimates you refer to are weighted by population (though we obtain 0.099 and -0.065), whereas the ones I posted are weighted by log population. We refer to both types in the paper.
