Check out our work on video denoising in starlight this morning at #CVPR2022 (Orals 4.1.2: Computational Photography). We show video denoising by the light of only the stars (submillilux levels of illumination) for the first time.

@TaliaRinger That’s great! Things got a lot better for us once we got off the nipple shield. Are you working with a good lactation consultant? They have very precise scales and can do weighted feeds to see how much milk baby is transferring at the breast.

This is heartbreaking and terrifying. I bike through this intersection every day with my toddler on our way to work/daycare at MIT. We shouldn’t have to live in fear of violent death by trucks during our daily commute on a heavily trafficked bike route.
From what friends have said, it’s likely the cyclist killed today was a Cambridge resident & MIT physics PhD student, I’m so heartbroken.

I was really enjoying my train trip from DC to Boston until my train got indefinitely halted and I got stranded.

@TaliaRinger @Axylos I agree. In lots of cities/towns, even if you get on waitlists the moment you have a positive pregnancy test, you still might not get a spot until your child is 6+ months old. I hope things are a little better in Champaign-Urbana, but there's a national childcare shortage.

@TaliaRinger My advice: get on all of them. It took us 13 months to get a spot at the MIT daycare. We've been on waitlists for daycares in Ithaca for over a year, but still don't have full-time care for my toddler for the fall. Not sure how to start a job as a professor without daycare.

@thebostonlol @WarrenJWells I second this. I moved from Berkeley to Cambridge/Somerville, and the difference in terms of bike infrastructure is shocking. New protected bike lanes are popping up every season, and I can usually do daycare dropoffs/errands/commuting entirely on protected bike lanes here.
