She's not being mean. She's setting boundaries from a place of love and protection. You simply dislike the fact that she's revoking a privilege you never should have had in the first place. Having the desire to continuously violate someone isn't love.

Boundaries are a function of how much you are in tune with yourself, how much you value yourself and where and with whom you choose to invest your energy. But in a patriarchal culture, the women who are considered most desirable do NOT have boundaries, due to male fragility.

Threatening divorce, walking-out, or consistently repeating the mantra that “this will never work” is the equivalent of taking a sledge-hammer to your relationship. You are only forcing her to become something she is not: defensive, angry, afraid, withheld, cold, and insecure.

@AlexToldMe Exactly. What a lot of men don’t understand is that without emotional safety, we are not even seeing the real woman, the real her. Because a woman cannot be real, without knowing that you are going to stick around when she shows you who she really is.

If you look at her and do not feel grateful to have her, don’t waste her time. Be transparent. Respect her enough to keep it real, so she can make informed decisions. Stop messing with other people’s soulmates. She deserves a love that is truly magical.

People who shut down their emotions will shut down yours. If you desire deep intimacy and emotional security in your relationship, you must actively express your genuine emotions without feeling ashamed.
