If you see a chronically ill streamer live after a flare up it doesn’t mean that they are better.
We just had enough spoons at that moment in time to be live. We needed the stream for a number of reasons.
Just because we’re live doesn’t mean we’re better.

"You are not disabled enough to ask for assistance" is not the right response when someone who is struggling asks for help.
Invisible illnesses are a thing. It takes a lot of internal strength to ask for help.

I eat almost every stream. I will sometimes turn off my camera, or 99% of the time I mute the mic while chewing.
Answers yesterday were; it felt like having dinner with a friend, it’s cozy, it add great conversation and a few others.

When you’re disabled it’s WILD how people treat you differently. There are people who see you as an inconvenience, people who are nervous and don’t know what to do, people who don’t treat you like a real person, and then people who uplift and support you in every way.

I’m on my way to an appointment to get a wheelchair. This is such a weird mix of feelings. Excited for an easier con experience and more independence. But sad my body is giving out on me.
