Cramps game 1 after 3 weeks of prep is not a product of poor summer conditioning
It’s a by product of 3 things
1- Poor practice timing and intensity for 3 weeks
2- what you did/didn’t put in you body- if you DID drink 2 much caffeine or if you DIDN’T hydrate those are both 🚩
I see a lot of coaches talking about NOT back squatting because of low back issues and choosing the front squat.
Here is a thought- how about doing auxiliary movements to build the lower back so you can Back Squat?
And I love the front squat as well.
There should be a rule- sport coaches shouldn’t have a say with what happens in the weight room until strength coaches have a say in practice volume-
Before you say how stupid that is- many of the best programs in the country ACTUALLY operate that way.

Last night was THE worst college football game between two top ten teams I have ever watched.
NCAA needs to fix these kids opting out of playing or transferring before the season ends. Because l that- was really bad.
