On this day in 2008, David Mitton the co-creater of TUGS and the writer, producer and director for Thomas and Friends sadly passed away.
R.I.P 1938-2008
On this day in June 1911, Wilbert Awdry was born. Thank you for making The Railway Series and Thomas the Tank Engine come to life.
Unfortunately we lost Wilbert on the 21st of March 1997 as he sadly passed away. May he R.I.P.
Rest in peace to Theresa Plummer-Andrews. A producer of many original BBC children’s programmes.
Including the original Fireman Sam, Joshua Jones, classic Bob the Builder, Noddy’s Toyland Adventures, Postman Pat, Pingu, Little Robots and etc.
One of my least-liked design elements of suburban design is this inaccessible landing I see in foyers.
Any creative solutions for "staging" it out there?
I’ve just realised something, in the “My Thomas Story Library” Stepney book, Stepney’s driver gets told off by the Fat Controller.
However in the original episode that never happens, it’s quite interesting.
(This was one hell of a nightmare to edit)
New edit (not of an episode or film) but a model version of the art cover for the “Trouble on the Tracks” PC game.
Here are some concept art and a behind the scenes photo from the Series 5 episode “Cranky Bugs” which introduces Cranky the crane, as well as the Docks,
It’s original broadcast was on the 1st of September 1998, it is one of my favourite episodes and my 1# episode from Series 5!
Duke in the HiT era.
I’ve been taking a break for awhile doing these edits cuz I find it a bit difficult to find good images and angles of locations and characters.
On this day 42 years ago, the lovely postman and his black and white cat had aired. Happy birthday Pat!
Hopefully we can celebrate with Miss Hubbard’s rhubarb wine. :p
Back in 1983 the Children's ITV channel had launched and today marks its 40th anniversary.
Home to Sooty, Rainbow, Dangermouse, Trap Door, TUGS, the Thunderbirds, Stingray, Rosie and Jim, Tots TV, TTTE and many more.
Trivia time I guess: A Thomas the Tank Engine styled kitchen machine that made food in hospitals from the 90s-00s had appeared in an episode of the BBC TV show ‘Playdays’.
I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since the sad passing of Micheal Angelis. Who narrated S3-16 of Thomas and Friends.
R.I.P Micheal Angelis 29th April 1944 - 30th May 2020. He’ll always be remembered.
Found some of these images online of the 1990 Fireman Sam live show titled “To The Rescue”.
Which took place at Birmingham Hippodrome and was before the stage show “Fireman Sam In Action” from 1996.
“Henry, I’ve managed to phone the left hand corner of Wales and by any time now your Welsh Coal should soon arrive.”
“Just then, Jones the Steam and Ivor the Engine had arrived with the special coal for Henry.”
