Nah respect some non league players. A lot of CMs play this ball knowing their winger is running in behind already. Just has a different perception because it’s Trent. It’s a great ball whatever the level. I’m just saying let’s have the same energy when it’s done in non league

I actually hate pre season. Like I fully hate it. Nothing to do with the fitness. It’s the new players . Every year just no decorum, no morales, no respect. It doesn’t take much to message a manager with an update on circumstances if they change. It doesn’t take much to reply 😒

Finally received certification for my UEFA B! Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me on my coaching journey and although a certificate doesn’t define you as a coach, it’s nice to be able to push myself further towards my goals and what I want to achieve in coaching

Winds me up when football teams that advertise for coaches to join their team put ‘MUST BE a LEVEL 2 coach or above’ 🙄🙄🙄
It’s a bit of paper and it doesn’t necessarily make you a good coach. I know people with no certificate who are better than some Level 2 coaches. Banter.

Question for you - what age is it acceptable to not bring a player on as a sub?? When a player gets to 16 they can play men’s football and might spend games sitting on the bench not getting on. Isn’t it better to expose it to them earlier so they have experience dealing with it?

It amazes me when you see a Step 4 or Step 5 teams team sheet and they only have 3 or 4 subs named. Perfect time to call up an U18 or reserve player to the squad and give them some experience around first team squads and better players!

Non-league football is finished. Can’t believe my eyes with some of the things I see. People tweeting they scored when their team lost, dancing around in dressing rooms, people jumping teams for an extra tenner a week. People playing for all the wrong reasons. It’s embarrassing.

Just to confirm I take Saturday football very seriously. If you don’t take it almost as seriously as me then you are wasting both of our time. If you want to get fit go to the gym or hit the roads. My training sessions are not a free facility for you to get fit. Thanks.

Yesterday, a player on the opposite team told me ‘I’m s**t’ when they were 2-0 up against us. I got an assist and scored in the game and we ended up winning 4-2. I wonder if he still thinks I’m s**t 😂😂

I’d rather a player who doesn’t wanna play for my team give an actual real reason why they don’t want to play, instead of giving me some BS about not wanting to play football anymore and then signing for another team 🥴

Today was one of the proudest moments of my teaching career. My year 6 boys team had an Essex cup semi final in Southend. We were 2-0 down and came back to win 3-2 with the last kick of the game! Absolute scenes! Seeing their faces was a moment I’ll never forget!

I’m not sure why teams are organising fixtures for their reserve teams and then sending their first team squads and trialists to fulfil the fixture. The whole point of playing reserves against reserves is that it’s a suitable and competitive level for both teams.

If I had to play a pre season friendly with 10 players and my Dad in goal I’d do it before I cancelled on another team. Especially not last minute either.
Once my team makes the agreement and commitment to a friendly I’m never pulling out.

When I left Barkingside (Step 5) and went to Frenford (Step 6) I was put in the reserves. Went from paying nothing to paying £10 a game. I could of sacked it off or stay and prove myself to get into the first team. I’ll let you work out which one I did ..

I am always critical of referees but today the referee we had (Will O’Neill) was top draw! Had full control of the game and made the correct decisions. Best ref we’ve had since being in the

Why do people get so excited and happy about calling games off? I’ll never understand. We work hard all week and look forward to Saturday games so naturally we are disappointed when the games get called off yet seems some people are so eager to get them postponed.

My eldest brother is 43. He has been an Ipswich fan his whole life and was a season ticket holder for years. He managed to get 2 tickets for yesterdays game but gave them up for his Dad (60th birthday) and lifelong fan and his 12 year old son go instead. Legendary.
