Halftime and the Trojans lead 34-26. Buckeyes struggling with the USC defense tonight. Their man coverage is so strong.

McGuff calls a timeout with 1:05 remaining in he second quarter. OSU down 34-24. Wheels coming off a bit since soon after the media timeout when OSU was only down only three.

Ajae Petty is playing great in the man coverage of the Trojans. She's playing quick and making moves in the paint to lead the Buckeyes with 8 points. Watkins has two points, going 0-of-7 from the floor. Ohio State down 23-20 with just under 5 minutes left in the second quarter.

End of the 1st and the Buckeyes are down 14-11. OSU shot 26.3% and USC went 25%, but Trojans had 17 rebounds and went 2-of-3 from deep.

Buckeyes down 10-9 at the media timeout. USC hit two from deep to swing a 3-point deficit to a 1-point lead. Petty leads Ohio State scorers with 4 points.

USC has five turnovers and is 0-of-7 from the floor to start this game. Buckeyes up 7-4 though with 4 fts. McMahon on the bench with two fouls early.

Hey OSU WBB fans, tonight's game is on big network FOX at 9 p.m. ET. No surprises on the injury report for the Buckeyes, and no fire alarms pulled (yet), so it should start right near nine. I'll share some game updates on here, and a lil more where the Sky is Blue.

@wheelsfelloff_ They were successful at stopping passes from getting to her in one-on-ones, then stopped doing it altogether in the second quarter, when Betts scored 10 points in the first half of the quarter. Made no sense. Stick with what was working.

Missing open shots and two costly turnovers in the fourth were the difference. Shooting was a season low 29.4% and McMahon discounted it being because of the UCLA defense, which I agree. OSU just missed shots they should hit. Full stop.

@WhitneyNBC4 Especially considering the pressure. Last game, she passed out of offensive rebounds immediately. Tonight she took on Betts and another defender and hit a contested layup.
