The average American lives on a plot of land equivalent to that of a European aristocrat. The average European lives in a human scale walkable city, suburbia fosters fatness Also American grindset means you grab foods of convenience that are engineered to be hypersatiating, not to mention American wealth can afford their food to be both cheaper and larger in portion size
Remarkable overview, despite all its problems, one thing clearly sticks out in Europe, food is much better and healthier there. Why do Americans eat as if they had free healthcare?
