tips for beginners building products with AI using cursor 1. write @codebase in composer so composer sees all your files 2. sometimes it doesn’t update the files then say did you update the files? i don’t know why this works but it just works. 3. go extremely small step by step don’t post a whole slope in composer ask it to one shot it. 4. go to chatgpt or claude write the idea for your product ask it to generate a prd with step by step documentation 5. post the prd in composer ask it to create an file tell composer to use this file 6. update the instructions as you build, after fixing obvious errors to create even better knowledge base 7. if you get stuck somewhere go back to one step try again, with a different prompt depending on the mistake. still stuck you are in a hole? go back two steps. 8. if you still can’t solve it go ask claude or chatgpt for some reason they work better on their own site (duh) 9. you can use v0 to generate a better ui, copy the code to cursor or you can copy cursor code to v0 tell it to improve the ui without changing functionality 10. you need to just build things to learn you cannot learn by consuming content build, face more problems, find more solutions. repeat.
