feeling 🆗 about @pintodotmoney

@DeFiDave22 the next era of stable coins is starting to heat up. there is room for several stables to succeed at significant scale, but so many of the tokens are centralized copies of each other. i hope to see more novel competitors like @pintodotmoney rise up in 2025

i feel this with $pinto. there is a quiet attrition with time, even when systems are functioning as intended. how does low volatility money, literally designed to do as little as possible, compete with the dopamine of meme coins or airdrops? there is an inherit cost to focusing steady functionality and long term vision
A money manager who consistently beats the S&P 500 by +1% can attract infinite money from sophisticated individuals—but the opposite is true for growing a large userbase on a speculative investing app: Instead, whichever product offers users the highest variance outcomes—either catastrophic losses or generational wealth—will grow the fastest, even if the expected value of participating is always negative. Not only is the dopamine loop habit-forming, but it attracts highly social & manic users who are glued to their screens and will constantly promote their wins, roping in more & more people. There's a reason why sports betting, meme coins, and Robinhood options trading is all that people seem to talk about.

@FordPintoMoney would want to do some research, but sUSDe and USDS are pillars of the yield bearing stable sector rn. also probably controversial, but i would consider usd0++ as well, now that the pain of the bond repricing has been fully absorbed. open to smaller cap options as well.

@FordPintoMoney agreed - it gives farmers a way to arbitrage the very expected volatility of pinto over time. splitting the 25% gauge target that USDC currently has with some of the current industry standard yield bearing stable wrappers would be a win imo
