*commentary, not criticsm* Since @_kaitoai announced ETH rewards for yap points, CT has become something like a black mirror episode. Societal behaviours that were amplified: > talking/engaging with others for the core purpose of self-benefit > prioritizing people viewed as โhigher levelsโ of society (in this case, CT) > generally saying things you might not mean or want to for financial benefits > smart follower count/yapping leaderboard almost like oneโs social credit score. Iโve always advocated for yapping, but never at the expense of authenticity and being genuine. I donโt want people to play nice and talk to me or engage in my content if they donโt actually want to. I want to follow people with real thoughts, opinions and perspectives, not farmed content that is positioned for points. Always love @_kaitoai and what theyโve done. Theyโve quantified and capitalized influence in the most sophisticated fashion. Iโm pretty curious how this experiment keeps on going, but so far not a huge fan. The internet is already full of larpers and hypocrites as is and donโt really feel like we need more. Bring back authenticity.

@RyanRead__ When it comes to salary/money its somehow very binary in the UK - either โpovertyโ or โrichโ. Thereโs an in-between that says โnot really struggling but not well offโ that somehow gets ignored (hint: itโs the middle class) 50k is kinda ok but neither rich nor poor.

When people ask why I moved out of London :โ)
The UKs attitude towards money is completely broken. People genuinely believe ยฃ50,000 a year is well off. This week I have been accused of being raised with a silver spoon & everything handed to me because I said ยฃ4,000 a month is not a lot of money when you have kids, a house & an adult life to pay for. If you dare suggest you earn more than that you are either a criminal, liar or playing with โdaddyโs moneyโ Utterly broken
