@da_racci @Cruitzer 1% is very conservative. When you have a gaping hole in your defenses, people will tend to abuse it. It's likely disproportionately higher on Linux, as it's likely that cheaters swapped specifically to Linux to be able to cheat. We've seen similar stuff at Roblox.

@deetroy_gg @truesricosta DMA is prevented with IOMMU. The technology is there. Market saturation is already decent and inevitable. As for pure AI/vision based solutions, they haven't been impressive. Diversity in character models can go a long way to make this harder, e.g. Roblox style custom avatars.

@truesricosta Basic security features are lacking or not present by default like we have on Windows. Examples include VBS, HVCI, kernel integrity, authenticode, etc. It's not like you couldn't do it on Linux, but the ecosystem is so different that it's just not worth doing

@zebleerpo Well, this seems over hyped? This is a relatively common problem that's impacted basically everyone in the AC biz. Easy to revert bans. Mistakes happen.

@ootiosum While there's a tremendous amount of engineering and reversing talent in the game hacking scene, trust is usually the deciding factor. End of the day, the anticheat industry is small. Game hackers tend to burn bridges without thinking about the repercussions.
