@deeparocks Sovereign, open-source AI. By the people, for the people. With the entire population able to contribute their insights/questions/data in a way that ensures privacy. The tools exist to build this right now

Sure, but without the above-mentioned characteristics you have NO ability to understand the provenance of the information you're provided or why it's given to you. We hardly live in a goldilocks-zone of government right now in the US, let alone the rest of the world. AI can be used as a black box truth oracle without question, and to me that has dangerous potential for population manipulation. I'd rather not ask for a tool like that from any state without demanding transparency. How are you distinguishing between sovereign and open-source AI? Open-source AI can equally have access to publicly-available grant/incentive information and be trained for the purpose you're talking about while also including the protective measures I'm referring to. Unless there is a need to use classified/private government information, open and closed source models can both provide the services you give as an example. And open-source is the only option we should strive for in my mind.
