JJ normally: "conspiracies are usually never true and can be explained by normal human behaviour"
JJ on Canadian issues: "there’s an elite cabal in Canadian government who brainwash canadian’s into spelling color with a U!"
"Canadian spelling" is such BS. The federal government is like "spell certain arbitrary words this specific way or you're unpatriotic!" and people accept this as a legitimate test of their national loyalty.
(Americans: please note the unhinged replies this tweet will provoke.)
I wake up at 6 a.m. to find that my daughter has posted a TikTok video trashing me.
She's a big social media influencer with millions of followers. Here it is . . .
Poilievre says he's a normal guy, the Liberal-NDP are lunatics. 'People now want to wake up from the nightmare. That's what I offer them,' says Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre,

🇨🇦 A group of naked people march in a ‘family-friendly’ Pride event in Toronto, with many children in attendance.
One is holding a sign that says “Make Clothing Optional!”
Here are two of the experiences that define my life as a public figure:
- Left-wing Canadian nationalists on social media declaring I should be kicked out of the country because I don’t like the monarchy or CBC or whatever.
- Immigrants stopping me on the street to tell me that
"Do you believe teachers should keep secrets from their parents?"
If a student fears abuse from their parents due to their gender or sexual orientation then it would be irresponsible for the teacher to out the student to their parents. The Cons would for force them to do this
The 🇨🇦 NDP just interrupted our Mother's Day brunch to tell me that teachers ~should~ be able to keep secrets from parents.
Guess how that went over? 💅

the average Canadian pays $35 per year for CBC/Radio-Canada through their taxes.
Cry about wokeness all you want, tweak programming if you need to, but it’s clear that the CBC is an incredibly good value for what we pay.
I will not let people get rose-coloured glasses over the Freedom Convoy. These people did not represent truckers or Canadian citizens. They were a group of extremists taking advantage of a crisis to push their conspiracy laden agenda while being backed uncanadian political agents
If Trudeau wants to improve his polling numbers, he could start a Rwanda-style genocide of the Francophone Quebecois. The international community would understand
@nilocobau
you should actually read their post. The whole point is to highlight that the transportation industry is overly privatized, and we can provide better transit for everyone by investing in alternate modes like high-speed rail
Justin Trudeau built people's hopes up, only to let them down.
Under Justin Trudeau, rent prices have doubled since 2015, and 370,000 affordable homes have been sold off to developers.
He not only let people down, his failures are hurting them.

after one year of living here in Montreal I definitely feel like:
- people overestimate how bilingual the city is
- people underestimate how nice francophones are
anglophones say that french should be abolished, francophones demand that Quebec separate from Canada. I'm the only person brave enough to admit that what we have now is fine, albeit with some tweaking
Common sense Conservatives will fight back against Trudeau's three-headed censorship monster that wants to control what Canadians see and say online.
Sign to shut down Trudeau's censorship monster:
They say in politics, liberals are the gas pedal, and conservatives are the brakes, and I'm generally with the gas pedal, but not if we're driving off a cliff.

I can’t agree with that - pretending to be a critic and drawing red X’s while also comparing her work to rockthrow is a clear shitty thing to do

Listen, he even mentions the oil and gas industry. He wants it shut down.
the resiliency of progressive institutions is clear evidence of success of Canadian progressives.
gay marriage, abortion, cannabis, public healthcare... if the CPC even talks about reforming these, they get cooked in the polls
@taxspendlib
The fact that not hating America and not wanting tax dollars to fund nationalist propaganda makes me fail the Canadian lib-centrist test is pretty revealing of the failings of Canadian progressivism.
Before social media and the internet, more social norms were followed because if you were the weird loser, you were alone. But now you can find many other losers and feel validated in your position. Thus the rise to anti social behavior, depressed generation, etc

Trudeau, your time is up! We will vote your dangerous carbon tax government out!
"Okay, so you’re voting with the bloc?"
no way!
"and the ndp?"
uhh… maybe?
"well, then you don’t have the votes"
@JJ_McCullough
my point is that the government is not forcing a certain spelling structure onto reluctant Canadians. it’s simply a part of our culture, and that affects what services our government considers valuable
Toronto has this false idea that old businesses are beloved by community, but somehow are not able to sustain themselves from the most minor market forces. The truth is that they’re just not that good. See also: Sneaky Dee’s, Kim’s Convenience
Over the last 20 years this city has just become one giant mass of malignant, rectangular-shaped tumours
Look what they tore down to build this featureless garbage, man.
