When I joined @SuperRare in 2018 the price of $ETH was around $600. Over that next year it dropped to $80. The crypto blood bath didn’t phase us then and it won’t phase us now. We are thinking in decades not days & we do our best work during these times. Art is forever 💎 $RARE.

I think I like this space more when ETH is down. by far the best buying opps for 1/1 art, many of the hypers disappear for a bit and the overall vibes are just less idk…slimy 🤷🏻♂️.

Biggest mistake I made in this space was being stubborn in my personal beliefs early on. Not anymore. If I would have been more open minded in those first few years I’d be much wealthier now. Apes? Ew, punks only. Large generative series? Eh I’ll stick to 1:1s because.

The biggest differences between building in this bear market and the last bear market from my perspective: . Expectations: .During my first year with SR the price of ETH fell from $800 to $80. While it was scary as hell as a first time bear market-er, it didn’t really affect much.
Trying to shepherd a Web3 startup through a bear market gives me even more respect for folks like @SuperRareJohn @rareperkins @SuperRareChar @SuperRareRoses and @selfmadeheroes @jimbob_87 @awaygray. They gutted it out through far tougher times than this. 🫡.

I’ve learned more from my biggest fails than my biggest wins. To name a few:.- sold @XCOPYART some other asshole for $481 in Nov 2019 (went on to sell for $2M 2 years later).- sold another 6 XCOPY 1:1s between $300-$5000 all before mid 2020 because it was a nice return & money.
