On ESPN, Bart Scott blamed #Bengals WR Tee Higgins for the incident with Damar Hamlin. That is totally ridiculous, what happened was a freak accident.

Anyone that thinks the long snapping incident in Cincinnati this week was a coaching error is misinformed. This would have been the same outcome for all 32 teams. Every NFL team uses a back up TE or another position player as the back up snapper with roster limitations.

If you are a Tight End being recruited for TE, you need to pick up long snapping asap. Unless you become a @kylepitts__ , you will drastically raise your stock for a college and/or NFL roster. You are the prototype body frame for a NFL long snapper.

@McPherson_Evan would hit long FGs routinely in team FG periods. He would make all his kicks going back to 68 yards (seen here) with no help from the wind. He did this multiple times at @GatorsFB with room to spare.

I knew when I was recruiting @smack_trey to the University of Florida that he was special. Now he is 11/11 on FGs this year and had two 54 Yard FGs this season. Luke Gaddis of @OneOnOneNJNYPA and @Matt3Stover did a great job developing him during his HS Days.

For those that don’t know, this was the EXACT same cut block that everyone called dirty by Cincinnati. The main difference is the Bengals defender protects himself and defends the cut block. Just like he probably did 10 or more times that week with impact ball cut block drills.

I saw this culture first hand from the opposing sideline. I saw how their players embraced the coaches, how they embraced each other. How they cared for one another and held each other accountable. @CoachSBeamer was my teammate at VT, but I’m so proud of what he’s doing at USC.

You absolutely should NOT be kicking or punting right after a lower body Lift. If your coach makes you, then they need to change the schedule that you kick. If you are doing it on your own you need to stop. Kicking with fatigued legs creates compensation which leads to bad.

I love that the announcers talked about Bama having starting LBs and Corners running down on kickoff coverage. Along with their all American receiver being in punt coverage. Good teams have their good players on special teams. Those players make the NFL because of special teams.

Punters. don’t forget to love up on your protection/coverage team. Punts downed inside the 5 yard line can be a game changer. Maybe a fresh coffee, occasional warm donuts, or maybe just carry their pads one day in camp. But make sure they know how much you appreciate them.
