February 6, 2023… The disaster of the century. We lost tens of thousands of lives, our cities were destroyed. But the strongest force that rose from the ruins was solidarity. Our community kitchens, hot meal trucks, and mobile kitchens worked tirelessly. Mobile toilets, showers, and laundries met the basic needs of our people. In this process, we saw the true strength of supporting one another and healing together. The pain of this loss will never fade, but together, we will continue rebuilding lives. We will leave no one behind.❤️🩹 @ifrc

“Every Step Brings New Hope…” 🌱 Remzi Güzel, a member of the Turkish Red Crescent response team, reflects on how communities came together after the earthquake. “Every grateful look strengthened our resolve,” he shares. Each hot meal and each aid package was more than a lifeline—it was a step towards rebuilding hope and dignity. Remzi highlights that the smiles of those they helped were the greatest reward for their efforts. Together, we will keep building lives with compassion and care.❤️🩹 @ifrc

Rebuilding Lives Together Since February 6th… When the earthquake struck on February 6th, 2023, there was an overwhelming sense of despair. But we were always there. We reached remote villages, established container cities, and took the first steps toward rebuilding life together. Beyond meeting urgent needs like food parcels and hygiene supplies, over the past two years, we implemented farmer and business support projects, vocational training programs, and provided continuous psychosocial support for both children and adults. We sincerely thank the entire @ifrc family for their invaluable partnership throughout this journey.

Heartfelt thanks to the @ifrc family for standing shoulder to shoulder with us since the very first moment of the 6 February Earthquakes. #PowerOfHumanity
In Türkiye, two years after the earthquake, hundreds of thousands of people are still in need of support. Many have lost their homes and livelihoods and are carrying the psychological burden of the disaster. The Turkish @RedCrescent has been at the very heart and frontline of the response to the earthquakes since day one and will continue to support communities for many years to come, supported by the @IFRC network.

Today, we experienced one of the finest examples of friendship and solidarity! 🇨🇭🇹🇷 Switzerland's Ambassador to Ankara, Guillaume Scheurer, and his esteemed wife, Farin Scheurer, visited our Turkish Red Crescent Central Anatolia Regional Blood Center and donated blood as part of the 100th Year of Friendship between Turkey and Switzerland. Alper Küçük, our Director General of International Affairs and Migration Services, who joined us during the program, also highlighted the importance of blood donation. After the blood donation, we presented Ambassador Scheurer and his wife with our Turkish Red Crescent badge and provided them with information about our efforts. We wholeheartedly thank them for their meaningful support. 🌙

Since the first day of the February 6 earthquakes, we have been identifying needs and delivering them door-to-door to their destinations. 🤍 We continue to provide hygiene kits, which remain one of the most essential needs, to the citizens in the earthquake-affected areas. 🧼💧 Together, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, we keep moving forward in the healing process. ❤️🩹 @CroixRouge
