The
#unc0ver

v5.0.0 will be the first 0day jailbreak released since iOS 8!
Every other jailbreak released since iOS 9 used 1day exploits that were either patched in the next beta version or the hardware.
This will be a big milestone for jailbreaking.
Just issued a new build to the internal beta testers to properly fix the root cause of the issue with system services -- It has only been minutes since I issued the beta and every one of them have confirmed that the issue is now fixed!
#unc0ver
I have finally completed the rewrite of my Substitution Support package.
It is now significantly more stable, faster and performant. All known issues about it have also been fixed.
I am now working on testing it for the last few times.
Stay here...
#unc0ver
Successfully verified that the
#unc0ver
jailbreak still works on iOS 11.0-12.4.1.
I will now compile the release build, make sure that it jailbreaks successfully with the internal beta testers and release it!

The release build of the
#unc0ver
jailbreak has been verified to be working flawlessly on several A12-A13 devices.
I am now preparing to make it public...

Successfully installed some tweaks from
@NepetaDev
's repo and verified they work just fine on my A12 device that's running the upcoming version of the unc0ver jailbreak with full-fledged A12 support for iOS 12.0-12.4 -- Pre-production tests are going good so far!
I am currently working on fixing a bug which randomly causes issues with a few system services (Which was essentially the only bug reported by internal beta testers.).
#unc0ver
The new official way to install the
#unc0ver
jailbreak will be
@altstoreio
so both Windows and macOS users will be able to install the app on their devices at any time :-).
To be clear:
#unc0ver
will be updated for all devices on iOS 13.0-13.3 for those interested in a semi-untether but A12-A13 devices will be the priority.
Just installed a bunch of tweaks that were broken before and verified they work just fine on my A12X device running unc0ver (Including Snowboard by
@SparkDev_
and Notifica by
@NepetaDev
) -- This might be the last take of internal beta testing before public release ;-).
I am currently working on fixing a bug which seems to be caused by a bug in Apple's code in iOS 13.
The bug affects Substitution Support and has to be fixed before the release.
#unc0ver
I am currently performing the last tests of the
#unc0ver
jailbreak for iOS 13.0-13.3 A12-A13 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max before sending it to the internal beta testers!
unc0ver v3.7.0~b1 is NOW OUT with full-fledged A12-A12X support with Cydia and system-wide tweak injection!

FWIW, I fixed several stability issues in the PAC-Less implementation while updating it for A13. The issues which I fixed include freezes, issues with some system services and random resprings.
Successfully fixed the biggest issue regarding tweak injection with the PAC-Less implementation on iOS 13 ;-).
I will now be working on ensuring the stability of the implementation while I wait for the kernel exploit to update the rest of the jailbreak.

I am technically done with all of the A12 work at this point, you can update your device to iOS 13 if you can't stand waiting for a few days or just stay if you are interested in a really good jailbreak experience.
The progress has been updated at !
Everything is mainly done now including tweak injection except for a bug which breaks certain apps and causes stability issues. No ETA but it is almost done...
I make jailbreaks because I like to make them. - I don't make jailbreaks because of the demand. - Quit spamming me and other developers for support for your device. - A12(X) support is being worked on and will be released whenever it is done.
What’s left for the first public beta:
- Fix a bug in the CoreTrust workarounds
- Fix the sandbox patches
- Clean up the implementation
- Do more private testing to make sure that it is safe
I just properly fixed a bug in Substitution Support which was introduced while updating it for iOS 13.
This was the underlying bug behind the App Store issue and the other issues I have seen.
I will push an update soon.

2019 was the best year for jailbreaking yet:
- PAC Bypass for iOS 12.0-12.1.2
- Reliable Kernel Exploits
- Jailbreak for Latest Version (12.4)
- KTRR Bypass for A11
- PAC-Less Jailbreak
- [BootROM Exploit / Unpatchable Jailbreak] for A7-A11
- Untethered Code Execution for iOS 11
Types of jailbreaks:
Tethered: Requires computer to start OS (e.g. Old versions of Redsn0w)
Semi-Tethered: Requires computer to start jailbreak (e.g. checkra1n)
Semi-Untethered: Requires on-device app to start jailbreak (e.g. unc0ver)
Untethered: No requirements (e.g. Pangu8)
Special thanks to
@saurik
for his work with the new updates of Cydia Substrate and ldid. - unc0ver for iOS 12 would have not been possible without him.
The iPhone 11 (Pro) / XR reliability issues were found to be caused by an exploit tester’s mistake. An update will be pushed out soon to fix the issue.

I decided to switch back to r/Jailbreak and remove the
#unc0ver
forum from Jailbreak Central for the community’s benefit — I hope that the moderators will eventually realize that they shouldn’t be deciding what the community should see.
If you are interested in a possible jailbreak with an A12 or A13 device or a semi-untether with others:
- Stay if you are on iOS 12.4.1-13.1.3
- Downgrade to 13.1.3 ASAP if you are on iOS 13.2
- Save blobs for iOS 13.1.3
- Install tvOS profile to block automated software updates
The internal beta testers have been sending some extremely positive feedback about my last private beta build and I might make it public if nothing goes wrong in the next few hours ;).
I have just gotten the Cydia installation process mostly working — I will now clean up my Substitute server’s logic, it is incredibly complicated and it is important to make sure it is rock solid to preserve system stability.
Just fixed a major issue with tweak compatibility on the upcoming version of the unc0ver jailbreak (Which was the last known issue) -- I will now issue an update with the changes to the internal beta testers (Take three!).
I am still __actively__ working on the upcoming update of the jailbreak — The fact I don’t update the progress bar so often does __not__ mean that I am making no progress.
unc0ver v3.0.0~b29 is currently being released to public testing with full-fledged iOS 12.0 - 12.1.2 support for A8X-A11 devices with Cydia and Substrate. Please wait.
FWIW, I will be working on updating the unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 13.0-13.3 as soon as the new kernel exploit is available.
For now, make sure that automatic software updates are disabled on your device and save blobs for iOS 13.3.
The Bootrom exploit may take some time to implement in a jailbreak but I am interested in it — I will still be continuing the development of the unc0ver jailbreak and will soon push a major stability update for A12. Stay tuned.
Progress update: The local Substitute server now works perfectly--I will now work on ensuring support for other devices and firmwares for completeness and clean up the implementation of my new Substitute Support tooling in the jailbreak.
(Patience will pay off--For both sides ;P)
Successfully rebooted the userspace on my iPhone 11 Pro Max!
(kernel_task is not restarted so the device stays jailbroken -- this is *NOT* an untether.)
The upcoming update of the unc0ver jailbreak will be insanely stable and fast.
