These two brothers have dedicated a combined 51 years to serving with OKCFD. Although it's rare for Major Mark Davis and Major Jonathan Davis to respond to the same incident, when they do, it's an unforgettable moment. A bond forged in both family and duty.

Firefighters extinguished a house fire at the 1300 block of NW 184th. It appears that the fire started in the garage and spread to the attic. The cause is under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters rescued "Duchess," a dog stuck at the end of a dead tree branch she couldn’t turn around on. Thankfully, they got her down before the local cats could offer tree-climbing tips!

Firefighters responded to a crude oil fire in SW OKC today. Fire crews used hand lines and foam operations to extinguish the flames. Hazmat personnel suited up to enter the area and close a valve, preventing further leakage.

The rain was a wonderful sight! ☔👀 Since the beginning of the month, we've extinguished 138 grass fires.

Over the weekend, our firefighters handled 884 emergencies, including a grass fire near SW 29th and Portland. We also conducted dive refresher training and wrapped up our response at the State Fair.

Firefighters are undergoing a week-long Swiftwater training at Riversport OKC. Floods, swift water rescues, and drownings can occur at any time throughout the year. This year, we have responded to 39 water emergencies.

Today, OKCFD held a memorial ceremony to honor our fallen firefighters and retirees. We gathered to celebrate their dedication, pay tribute to their sacrifices, and ensure their legacy endures. A heartfelt thank you to the families and friends who joined us in this remembrance.

Today marks 23 years since the day that changed America forever. We will always remember September 11, 2001, and the lives lost at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, PA. The bravery and sacrifice of so many will never be forgotten.

Recruit Class 24-1 starts today. 60 recruits will undergo an 18-week Fire Recruit Academy to become Oklahoma City Firefighters. Fire Chief Richard Kelley and the Deputy Chiefs outlined high expectations. The rigorous training aims to prepare new firefighters to serve OKC.

Engine 16 was dispatched to a report of a trash fire under a bridge, but it turned out the fire was actually on the bridge itself. Construction is underway on the Pole Rd bridge. All westbound traffic on 240 at Pole Rd was temporarily shut down while we extinguished the fire.
