Here's video of a waterspout coming ashore near the Indiana Dunes State Park. Waterspouts will likely continue until later this morning and in rare instances (like this one) can move onshore before quickly dissipating. If you see threatening weather approach, seek shelter!

An unseasonably cool weekend is in store before a return to warm conditions next week. Other than a few showers areawide this evening and lake effect showers in northwest IN through Sat, dry weather and mostly clear skies are expected for the next several days.

Yesterday morning we had the privilege of hosting Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) for a tour of our office and radar. Given his Ph.D. in physics, we appreciated talking about the science of meteorology with
@RepBillFoster
but were glad he didn't ask us to derive any equations!
Yesterday, I had a chance to visit the

offices in Romeoville and learn how they use science to forecast the weather and keep people safe.
