today shared a state budget recommendation to help rebuild stronger. The recommendation includes an initial $3.9 billion package to begin rebuilding critical infrastructure, homes, businesses, schools and farms.
Helene is the deadliest and most damaging storm ever to hit North Carolina. Initial damage assessments from Hurricane Helene total $53 billion, more than three times greater than Hurricane Florence.
