Happy 80th Birthday, Smokey!
As the nation’s longest running public service campaign, Smokey has shown generations how to prevent wildfires. With over 80% of wildfires being started accidentally or by carelessness, Smokey's message is as relevant today as it was in 1944.

We test our fire hose yearly to ensure it will perform in any emergency. We have just under 30,000 feet of hose, which is about 5 miles - the length of Minnetonka Blvd from the west border to the east border of the city!
As temps increase this week, remember to: stay cool, stay hydrated and informed; check on your neighbors, friends and family; reduce time outside and cool off in AC; and keep kids and pets cool and safe.
