According to our state partners, there has never been a recovery effort in modern California history that is as fast as the one underway in Los Angeles right now. I am grateful for all the help we are getting from our partners across every level of government.

As we move into Phase TWO of our debris removal plan, property owners may either choose to accept U.S. Army Corps debris removal or to hire their own contractor. More information on that choice is available here.

Phase one was predicted to last 90 days. Today, we announced the beginning of phase TWO of our debris removal process — continuing to chart a path forward to rebuild this community.

Atmospheric River rains are expected from Wednesday to Friday, with the heaviest of the storm expected Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. The city is making preparations to keep Angelenos safe and to prevent additional damage to burn areas that could delay rebuilding.
