Friends, have you noticed a bug in EA Sports CFB25? Think a uniform or stadium wasn't rendered properly?
Don't tweet or DM me! Fill out this form instead, and I can pass this info along.
I can share repeat bug/mistake reports with EA folks
Athletes who are on scholarships shouldn’t be considered employees.
That would mean if you drop a pass or miss a free-throw you could be fired and lose your scholarship.
That’s bad for college athletics.
Are you a casual football fan just tuning in for the Super Bowl?
Do you love low scoring contests? Games between Californians and the Midwest? Questionable officiating? PUNTS?!?
Good news! The fun doesn't have to end now! Let me introduce you to something called
The Big Ten
YOU'RE OUT HERE QUESTIONING OUR TOUGHNESS? WHEN WE'RE OUT HERE FACING MARYLAND, THE ALMA MATER OF JEFF KINNEY, AUTHOR OF THE DIARY OF A WIMPY KID?!? WHO IS THE WIMPY KID NOW, HUH? NOT THIS FOOTBALL TEAM
Some personal news,,,today is my first day at my new job, GM for the Atlanta Falcons!!! It's going to be a learning process but I hope I do a good job,
Joe Biden should make it illegal for SaaS companies or real estate concerns or made up financial service companies to sponsor bowl games. Every game deserves something like this.
every too early top 25:
1) bama
2-20) the same teams that were good last year, slightly rearranged
21-22) bad blue bloods who just made a coaching change and NOW will turn it around
23) 6-6 team that looked good in their bowl
24) a G5, so we can show we're refined
25) Texas
NEW EXTRA POINTS:
I played EA Sports College Football 25 last week. Here are my first impressions from the game...which is clearly a love letter to college football fans, by college football fans.
The game is a lot of things. And it isn't Madden.
The
@PopTartsBowl
postgame was amazing. They called out the
@DukesMayoBowl
by name, killed a human pop-tart and had the entire crowd chanting "toast that mas-cot!"
Confession: I came to Florida for an EA sports event about the video game. I played it today, interviewed developers and got loads of info. But I can't share it YET. I promise I will share everything as soon as I am allowed. Stay tuned!!
I don't want to hear a single pundit or administrator talk about preserving the sanctity of college football regular season, the only sport where "every game matters", ever again
Hey
@EASPORTS
. Was wondering since you used my image in two previous NCAA Football games could yall send me the new game? Just a band guy trying to take UAB through a multi year dynasty.
@EASPORTSCollege
My wife just told me not to lose any more weight or "you'll ruin the whole King of Queens vibe of our relationship" and I don't think I've ever been so thoroughly dunked on in my life
Per multiple sources familiar with the situation, EA is expected to announce tomorrow morning around 10 AM ET that EA Sports College Football will be delayed until 2024. More details to come tomorrow.
In case you were wondering, here are the three helmets Colorado submitted to EA Sports as potential assets for EA Sports College Football:
They also submitted drone footage and hundreds of other photos of fans, the mountains, and basically every possible angle of the stadium:
Nebraska & Coach Scott Frost under NCAA investigation for improper use of analysts, sources told
@ActionNetworkHQ
. Also, during pandemic, NU held unauthorized off-campus workouts under staff’s direction to avoid detection by school officials, sources said
I'm torn between thinking that putting ACC football games in movie theatres is creative and probably low cost for the league...and thinking that anybody who buys tickets to watch Syracuse/Virginia in a theatre belongs on a federal watch list
TexAgs: No, that's just the official plane. That's obviously a feint. Y'all gotta track the BOOSTER'S plane, which....clearly shows Putin is on his way to accept the OC job at Liberty.
This would mean that any organized opposition to the proposed opt-in contract is now pretty much already dead. Over 10K is roughly 90% of eligible athletes already signed
Just talked to 2 people at EA with direct knowledge, and both said "we have not shared a direct date with anybody" and would not confirm this date.
July is what I've heard is the target. So this could be correct! But I haven't seen it in writing and EA won't confirm it
The economics of big time college football are so messed up that Indiana...INDIANA...has the money to pay a dude 20 million not to coach, but "Indiana" probably doesn't have the 3ish million needed to pay for a quality enough roster to win 7 games
Mistakes are going to happen, and it's fine to call attention to things that need fixed, but filling your diapers and yelling THIS ISNT HARD (over something that is, in fact, hard) over an unreleased game is entitled and ridiculous. It's May. Relaaaaaaax
This is a CALL TO ACTION.
Tell
@EASPORTSCollege
they need to fix the Red River Rivalry in the new game.
Missing midfield art
crowds not split 50/50
Team endzones are on the wrong ends
OU is ALWAYS on the tunnel end
Texas is on the other
It's NOT. THAT. HARD.
If Elon's whole deal is throwing around massive amounts of money just to troll people, just wait until somebody in Texas explains college football to him
I'D SURE LIKE TO KNOW WHERE OL ORVILLE REDENBACHER IS NOW! YOU KNOW WHO REALLY POPPED UP IN LESS THAN A MINUTE? THIS FOOTBALL TEAM. THEY CAME OUT HOT TODAY
Remember how once upon a time, every college mascot had a sailor hat? That was cool.
But what we really need to bring back are illustrations where every college mascot is carrying of jug of booze.
Sure, this game is awesome, but just think about how much better this tournament would be if the Horizon League champ didn't get an automatic bid anymore so we could get Iowa or UCF in here instead
NEW EXTRA POINTS:
We have
@rodger
investigating how Jacksonville State won a dang national title in women's bowling in the first year of their program.
It started with Texas joining the SEC.
I've been reporting this for like, an entire year. EA has been saying this for almost an entire year. Why are we pretending this is a new revelation just to mine some cheap engagement? It's misleading to readers
Nobody will remember:
- Your salary
- Your fancy title
- How ‘busy’ you were
- How stressed you were
- How many hours you worked
People will remember:
- in 2016, Notre Dame football went 4-8
I'm not the first person to make this observation, but the fact that Texas A&M now employs two millionaire adult men named Jimbo and Buzz feels...correct, somehow.
It's been a wild (three?) years constantly writing about the development of this game. Learned a TON. Still feels a little surreal to have it in my hands. And I don't lie to y'all...it feels special to see my name in the credits. A career milestone I won't forget.
Was working on some CFB25 stuff this morning, and my oldest kid saw a clip of Nebraska's football helmets.
She got all excited and said "wait, Netflix has a football team in this game?!?"

related news, BUT this message was recently shared with me from an anonymous rep at EA.
Could we see a REVAMPED College Baseball series in the near future? A reskin of fan favorite MVP Baseball makes sense given EA’s timeline. HUGE, if true!

@Vol_Baseball
I've gotten this question a LOT. If it makes you feel better coming from somebody other than me, here's confirmation that Dynasty attendance, and Home Field Advantage, is Dynamic:
I know this is not even close to the most important issue at stake right now, but if you care about this sort of thing, the path to a new NCAA video game looks much clearer with a Dem-controlled senate.
So Russia has this massive recruiting base, unlimited national resources, tons of rich guys AND a tv station dedicated to their propaganda, and they still got embarrassed when they had to face a decent opponent on the road? Who do they think they are, Texas football?
The
@LAClippers
are rebranding.
In a new logo unveiled Monday, a navy blue ship with basketball lines etched into its hull sits inside of a C-shaped compass. The team name, meanwhile, stretches around the circumference in a custom typeface once again inspired by nautical
I write about this sort of thing for a living and i don't understand why anybody other than a CBS executive should care if the Final Four gets good ratings or not
Look, maybe FAU vs. San Diego State will lead to bad ratings. The data doesn’t really seem to support it, we’ve had record ratings without a single relevant “blue blood” involved, but it is a thought.
Whether that’s the case has *zero* relevance to the product.
According to documents I have inspected:
* EA Sports College Football is still slated for July 23 release
* EA is trying to get more school-specific audio assets (chants, cheers etc)
* School payouts range from a little over 100K to ~10K
and more:

show Connor Stalions claimed relationships with multiple Michigan assistants
He was apparently also working on a 600-page "manifesto" to run the program in the future using data on ~500 Navy players to inform a recruiting theory.
Breaking: Tonight’s game between Fairleigh Dickinson and Long Island University at LIU is in a delay because FDU players are stuck in an elevator coming from the locker room to the court. Firemen are on the scene trying to get FDU players out of the elevator now:
