Happy Rosa Parks Day, Massachusetts! In 1955, Rosa Parks sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott by refusing to give up her seat — a move that led to an end to racial segregation laws in the South, then nationwide. Today and always, we honor her legacy and carry forward her work.

I grew up in a military family, and it shaped my passion for public service and my entire career. At all six military installations, I’ve seen projects that’ll make Massachusetts stronger and safer. Honored to co-chair this task force together with our federal partners.
Massachusetts is the birthplace of our military traditions, and our local bases play a crucial role in national defense and our regional economy. We need to be doing everything we can to support service members and leverage our military assets. By elevating @MassLtGov and our Congressional partners to co-chairs of the Military Asset and Security Strategy Task Force, we can work at every level of government to deliver what our bases need.

Massachusetts has 351 vibrant cities and towns — and every single one plays a part in our success as a state. Great to join @massmunicipal at Connect 351 to talk about our plan to deliver historic funding for transportation and infrastructure, and help local officials to put these dollars to work for residents.

As a longtime mayor, I'm proud of the way this budget delivers for cities and towns. From supporting students and older adults to fixing roads and sidewalks, we're forging strong partnerships with local governments to make a real difference in people's daily lives.
When I took office, I promised to get after the issues you care about — and to do it in a way that takes care of your tax dollars. We cut costs and invested in housing, transportation, and education. Today I filed a balanced, responsible FY26 budget to build on our progress.
