Hiya! I’m Jenny Lorenzo, a voice actor and member of TAG, thanks to freelance work. I’m also developing a project with
@kevinbosch
and hope it has a chance someday. Let’s show some love to the animation workers — THE PEOPLE — who make it all possible!
#StandWithAnimation
I once pitched an animated series to a studio. They loved it but declined due to having another Latine show. 🙄 My show is uniquely Caribbean. Studios create scarcity by their choices. Blame studios, not creators, for lack of representation.
Bueno, now's about a good a time to let y'all know that this little Cubanita is bi 💗💜💙 I struggled to open up bout it due to the misconceptions & gatekeeping behind bisexuality as well as having my validity erased bc I'm married to a man. But this is me. This is it.
#Pride
I've grown quite tired of seeing the Latin-American community tear each other apart over who's Latin@/Latinx enough. Can we all PLEASE start praising and lifting each other up for our differences as much as our similarities?
My husband attended a commercial audition recently, and the storyboards were all AI. I have friends who storyboard for tv commercials and animation. This is terrifying.
The quote doesn't surprise me, but it's still an incredibly dim view of what artists do. To see the visual side as interchangeable mush to slather under your precious verbal jokes is to not at all comprehend the strengths or potential of the medium you work in.
I wrote on a 10-week writers room for a major network animated series pilot. It’s why I’m in The Animation Guild. The showrunner had to PULL TEETH for them to pay me and the only other female writer, because they expected us to work… FOR FREE.
RELEASE COYOTE VS ACME!
The Animation Guild’s (TAG) Master Agreement expires on August 16th — and we need YOUR help!
Spread the word about what’s at stake for animation!!! Post about your favorite cartoons that got canceled using

Alright so, um… where do I begin here? 🙌🏼 I HUNG OUT WITH
@TheRock
, y’all! We’re both University of Miami Hurricanes so this 1st photo- I mean, c’mon. An absolute MUST! We got to talk all things Jungle Cruise, his ultimate Disneyland cheat meal & waved hello to many lucky boats!
I wish there was a different name for ADHD because every time I try to educate and explain it to ppl and how it affects my brain, I can tell most do not take it seriously whatsoever, and are dismissive as a result. Many don’t realize the true complexities of this disorder.
It's been an honor playing these new iterations of Choo Choo, Hardy Har Har, Pixie & Bobbie Louie from the Hanna-Barbera universe. And while Spooky doesn’t have any dialogue, I did her silly sound effects. I 💚 Spooky so much. Enjoy the clips & be sure to check out out the show!
Every night since the pandemic hit in March, I've had a horrible time falling asleep &/or staying asleep. I've read that a lot of us are in a perpetual fight or flight mode rn. No matter how exhausted & sleepy I am, most of my nights consist of a wired brain. Anyone else?
My fellow white Latin folk, you are not safe from white supremacy no matter how much European blood you having in your DNA. Yes, our skin color makes us privileged af. But I see way too many white Latin/Hispanics acting like what’s happening in our country doesn’t affect them.
A LOUD CUBAN REMINDER TO WATCH
@OneDayAtATime
AT MIDNIGHT! Share with your friends and fam & talk it up on social media. Let's get this show a much-deserved season 4!!
#ODAAT
#CubanSitcom
If you want to contribute to saving One Day at a Time, social media is key. Continuing to use the
#saveODAAT
hashtag is VERY important. Talk about your favorite moments of the show and what it means to you, personally. 🇨🇺 🎥
To think they're all reunited now. I can't believe we lost Betty White on New Year's Eve and days before her 100th birthday. What a gem she was. A true comedic icon. She will be sorely missed. 😢
Wow. My best friend's mom who's over 60 works at a Miami
@BurgerKing
and she's now presenting symptoms. And you know what her BK manager is forcing her to do? Go back into work tomorrow or she loses her job. EXPLAIN YOURSELVES,
@BurgerKing
. The hell is this utter crap??
🧵There’s something I’ve noticed that has not been sitting well with me for some time. Why is it that when a Latina production of any kind portrays poor or working-class experiences, it’s labeled as “stereotypical”? It’s as if people are deeply embarrassed by it. 1/5
Black men are literally being lynched and hung from trees, yet, Congress refused to pass an anti lynching law.
Let me say it again, Congress refused to pass an anti lynching law.
Again, Congress refused to pass an anti lynching law.
This El Paso, TX shooter was a white supremacist who was anti-Hispanic/Latino. This was a hunt for immigrants.
All talk about a wall, but one of our greatest dangers lives on this very terrain. Nationalist Terrorism.
AIGHT, LATINO IS AN ETHNICITY NOT A RACE! WE ALL LOOK DIFFERENT GODDAMMIT. CUBA ISN’T IN MEXICO AND MEXICAN IS NOT A LANGUAGE. THERE ARE 33 COUNTRIES IN LATAM! DIFFERENT FOODS, CULTURES, MUSIC! WE DON’T ALL EAT SPICY. “BICHO” MEANS “BUG”BUT IT MEANS “PEN*S” TO A PUERTO RICAN AND-
Those who attack creators for their personal stories are missing the bigger issue. More stories mean better representation, fewer nitpicks. Expand horizons, embrace imperfections, and strive for more diverse narratives in mainstream media.
The passing of Stephen “tWitch” Boss has weighed heavily on my spirit all day. I can’t wrap my mind around the reality. Around the family he left behind. Around the pain he was concealing all this time. Humanity really needs to come together. Empathy and kindness now.
#RIPTwitch
Every time a Latine show gets canceled, I lose more hope. It makes me feel like we aren’t good enough, and our stories aren’t necessary in the eyes of Hollywood. Easily disposable. As a creative who is working on entering the TV space, it’s discouraging as hell.
Okay—so, what I’m gathering is that Latinos in Latin America are upset because we identify as Latinos in the U.S., since our experiences are different. That WE aren’t the same. And that frustrates them. 1/6
I am learning so much about ADHD since being diagnosed just last year. It’s wild how soooo many things I do and have always done are tied to this. I feel less alone.
As someone who grew up in Miami, surrounded by a beautiful mezcla of Caribbean/Latine cultures, Gordita Chronicles is so special to me and many others who felt seen and represented in this laugh-out-loud sitcom full of heart y la cultura.
#SaveGorditaChronicles
I've had enough of debating with ignorant folks here. Countless US-based children of immigrants, including myself, have unique stories to share. No one can erase my Cuban-American identity. I embrace the hyphenated experience and won't be silenced from sharing my narrative.
I ain't changing ANYTHING about it. Y'know why? I can water it down so that ~everyone "gets it"~ and it will sell & get made a lot faster. But it won't make it to season 2 because it will SUCK. It won't be relatable or authentic enough for the Latin community and it will FAIL.
My cousin in Cuba caught Covid and she had to bring her own bucket of water because there’s no running water at the hospital, a flashlight because there’s no electricity and powdered milk because they have no food to offer. We begged her not to go & are now terrified for her. 😢
Just found out that the doctor who performed an emergency c-section to save my life & also brought my sister into the world has passed away from COVID-19. And his son, who was also a doctor, passed away from the virus as well.
If someone told me in 2012, while waiting in a long ass line for the very 1st Avengers, that I’d be attending the premiere of
#AvengersEndGame
in the same room as the talent & crew, I would’ve laughed at how unlikely that would be. But it happened, y’all!
My beautiful girl crossed the rainbow bridge today. 🐾 🌈 She made it to nearly 15.5 years. Rescued from the streets of Miami in 2012 and has been there for me through so much. A piece of my heart is gone forever. 🥺
Miami feels like a Latin-American/Caribbean EPCOT. I'm a Cuban who married a Peruvian/Puerto Rican whose best friends are Honduran, Colombian, Nicaraguan, Venezuelan, Cuban & Haitian. *This* is the Miami I hope to represent on TV someday. This badass mix of cultures/ethnicities!
I am over the moon about my first voice acting nomination! Huge thanks to

! Portraying Abuelita in Hamster and Gretel is incredibly special, and in honor of our Abuelas, both mine and

As a child of immigrants, financial trauma is very real. It's why I've always worked multiple jobs, wear all the hats and have a hard time turning down opportunities. I end up tackling too much which leads to burn out and potentially disappointing others as well as myself.
Executives are certainly responsible here, but we can't overlook the fact that there are top industry Latinos who don't genuinely uplift those under them. The ladder is there collecting cobwebs and they choose not to use it. 🧵
I’m trying to process the passing of Bob Saget right now because he was America’s TV dad. This is a major loss for the children of the 80s and 90s, so I could really use a Tanner hug right about now.
#RIPBobSaget
At a CVS in Burbank I overheard an elderly couple CLEARLY speaking in Cuban Spanish. Which is rare in LA. So I couldn’t help but interject & ask if they were Cuban & they both lit up bc they could immediately tell that I was Cuban, too. We had a nice chat after that.
I do empathize w the frustration when our underrepresented communities lack proper representation. Which is why so much pressure is placed on the few stories being told. Pero I'm sorry con e'cuse me... harassment and death threats? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Today marks 13 years together, and two years since we got engaged. Got hitched on Halloween 2019. So grateful to have this man in my life. He keeps me balanced, sane and laughing. 💗
My Spanish has significantly improved since making bilingual comedy videos. I used to have a really hard time reading and writing in Spanish at a rapid pace and now I can do it with ease. Pretty happy about that. ☺️
These are all the animated characters I've voiced thus far! I can't believe this was a distant dream over 10 years ago and now I'm doing the damn thing. 🥲

I woke up, saw that Biden is the new president-elect, ran downstairs in happy tears, heard my front door neighbors shouting in celebration so I opened my door and celebrated with them. FUCK YES!!!!!!!
As all mothers do, tia Gloria cares for her sick, sniffly children when they’re hit with the dreaded cold & flu. That's why Tia Gloria brought

! Forgive me for squealing (pretend you hear me squealing), but this is my first role in a Disney animated series! Tomorrow on Disney Channel at 9:30am!
I met my husband in theatre school back in 2007, and we've acted together in countless projects and theatrical performances. And yet I still cannot keep a straight face when we act together.
I’m never going to stop talking about ADHD. So many people, especially women, have told me they got their official diagnosis because of my posts. Neurodiversity is usually dismissed in the Latin community, so I’m going to raise as much awareness as I can.
You know what has me emotional? A dictator wanna-be fascist like Trump is what drove my grandparents out of Cuba. Many Cubans were gaslit & brainwashed by the GOP due to their trauma which has been hurtful to witness over the years.
I just interviewed Lauren Graham, and not only was she incredibly kind, gracious, and fun to talk to, but she told my team that I was a great interviewer and that she genuinely meant that. My day has been made! These little things go a long way.
My mom was an AT&T operator when she received a call from a woman named Barbara Olson on Flight 77. The plane that hit the Pentagon. She dispatched a call to her husband and heard them exchange their final goodbyes. My mom plays this moment out in her head often.
