I’m saddened to hear the news about a woman brutally assaulted at an encampment in Calgary. Unfortunately, tragic events like this are commonplace within encampments, which is why our government has taken a zero-tolerance approach to encampments in our efforts to address homelessness. Abandoning these individuals and allowing them to remain on the streets is not acceptable, which is why we’ve launched Navigation Centres in both Calgary and Edmonton for individuals facing crisis to accesses the supports they need.
