The professional coaches association committed to growing and promoting excellence among women’s lacrosse coaches throughout NCAA DI, II & III and the NAIA.
We are appalled by the discriminatory actions that the
@DSUlax
coaches, team, and support staff endured while in GA competing. This incident of clear racism is unacceptable and must be called out as such. The IWLCA stands with
@DSUlax
.
#TheWorkContinues
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the
@umowlax
players, staff and families who have been affected by this morning’s tragedy. Such a devastating and tragic loss in what was already a challenging time.

Today, Division I coaches from programs competing in first round
@ncaalax
tournament games will show their support for
@DSUlax
and
@hubisonlax
. We hope you will stand with them and all of our coaches and players of color.

We're asking the
@NCAA
to listen to these PSAs. Lacrosse and Softball want to keep their rule. Earlier is NOT better.

Noelle Lambert, a women's lacrosse player who lost her leg in a moped accident, returned to the field for the first time Saturday.
She wasted no time getting on the scoresheet.
In uncertain times, people look to leaders to help them grasp new realities. We are proud of the actions our coaches are taking to be those leaders to their student-athletes, their families and the community at large. Keep coaching, keep leading. 👏👏
We have over 1,000 of them. Role models, mentors, life changers, life savers, coaches...empowered women working day in and day out to empower the next generation. So yup, we know a couple and can connect you 😊

Thank you to the lacrosse community for supporting the lacrosse and softball coaches efforts to keep Sept 1 as the start date for all recruiting contact. A lot of people worked hard behind the scenes to help preserve our rule and keep recruiting sane!

Women’s Professional Lacrosse IS BACK! Excited to see how
@AUProSports
takes the game and the amazing women who play it to the next level!
Chris Paradis, Janine Tucker, Carol Cantele, Chris Sailer - you blazed trails, set standards, and took us on great journeys with you. Thank you for everything you’ve done to grow our game and make us the best we can be. We are forever thankful. Happy retirement. 💜💙🧡🧡
We are so saddened to learn of the passing of Coach McCloskey. A true competitor, Kelly fought a courageous battle with cancer while being an amazing an mom, wife, mentor, and of course, coach. We are keeping the McCloskey Family and
@VernAthletics
in our thoughts. 💛
It wasn’t for nothing....The time and the sacrifice. It will seem like it was, but it wasn’t. You learned how to pick yourself up, how to push through, you built relationships -ones you would otherwise not had. All those hours weren’t for nothing, they just weren’t for right now.
Dancing into history. 💃
2021 is the first year that every game of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will air nationally.
At least six games will appear on ABC, marking the first time the tournament has aired on a broadcast network since 1995.
The more the game of women’s lacrosse is showcased on national networks, both linear and digital, the greater the reach for new and diverse areas to want to play and the faster the fan base will grow. Total win-win.
Grow. The. Game. 👏👏🏾👏🏼

"The recruiting process is already stressful enough. No contact until September 1st of the student’s junior year is ideal. This way, the players can focus on playing to their best ability during the summer and not worry about contact or lack of contact." Current DI Athlete
Among NCAA women's sports, the largest 10-year net gain in teams participating has been in Lacrosse (+200 squads). Track & Field, Golf also with big increases.
