In 1912, he led all but four of the 200 laps before a snapped connecting rod ruined his race two laps from the finish. He won in 1915, and in 1920 and 1921 was again close to victory before unlucky circumstances ruined his race.

Harry Henning | #HallofFame Henning served as crew chief for four Indianapolis 500 wins: Peter DePaolo in 1925, Bill Cummings in 1934, and Wilbur Shaw in 1939 and 1940. For many years, he was also the full-time general manager for the dominant Boyle Racing Team. #IMSMuseum
