Born on this day, Paul-Henri Spaak (1899) was one of the founding figures of the European Union, Prime Minister of Belgium, and a key architect of European integration. Spaak’s work laid the groundwork for unity and peace in Europe. A Parliament building is named after him.

The European Parliament has condemned Russia's use of disinformation to justify its war in Ukraine. MEPs support sanctions against Russian media outlets, enhancing fact-checking rules and rejecting any Russian attempts to justify its illegal war of aggression against Ukraine.
