Today, students in Ms. McConnell's AP MicroEconomics class @WHSChaps met with CFO Chris Scott, Chief Communications Officer Claudia McWhorter and me to review their recommended strategies to address our financial challenges @EanesISD. Our students are so smart and insightful.

Fans of all ages were on their feet tonight for Mama Mia! the musical by @WestlakeHSChoir and TEC. Our students are unbelievably talented and the music is unforgettable. Saturday is your last night to catch this Broadway-caliber show @WHSChaps and @EanesISD.

@CCEeagles Thursday when I found Ms. Van Dyke with a small group of students, enjoying the spring-like weather while having fun learning math. These are the moments I come across, when I see our educators and children doing what they are meant to do @EanesISD: learning together.

Officer Juan Zaccheus and Therapy Dog Pearl read to students @VVEcardinals today. I stopped by for a few minutes to enjoy the story of "Officer Buckle and Gloria." Our Police Department @EanesISD does so much more than keep students and staff safe; they are educators, too.

Change is hard, but hopefully it is a little easier when you are welcomed to a new home with warm hearts and open arms. Families being re-zoned from @BCEBlueJays to @FTEfalcons were embraced by the staff and booster club Tuesday night. This is what is special about @EanesISD

Gosh, I am going to miss this guy. Oliver has been the "Mayor" @FTEfalcons and @WRMSWildcats. When students and their families move away, the bonds we share with them as educators exemplify how our culture is different @EanesISD. Best wishes, my friend.

I visited @CCEeagles Friday morning, where I dropped in to see my cafeteria colleagues. I can always count on good food and lots of laughs. If you are seeing spots and Dalmations, it's because today was the 101st day of school @EanesISD

I was leaving late when I noticed lights on in a nearby office. I stopped to see who was working after hours, where I found Louis and Luis of our Maintenance Dept. assembling furniture. And they hadn't lost their smiles after a long day. These guys are the best @EanesISD

Leaving @WHSChaps tonight, I stopped to watch a few minutes of rehearsal for Mama Mia! the musical by @WestlakeHSChoir and TEC programs. The show is Feb. 6, 7 and 8. I cannot wait to enjoy this performance by our unbelievably talented students @EanesISD

Thursday evening @EanesISD, we showed we are One Community, One Night, Many Voices. The diverse conversations demonstrated the power of listening, understanding and creating a sense of belonging for ALL. Thank you.

Enjoyed my visit @WHSChaps Wednesday, where Principal Steve Ramsey, Dean of Arts and Student Life Dianne Parks, and Dean of Academics and Student Achievement Liz Edmonson, took me to various classrooms. Always great to interact with our accomplished staff and students @EanesISD

Michael Buthe, AP @ftefalcons, was named the 2025 Region 13 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association. The award celebrates assistant principals who foster excellence on their campus. We have such great leaders @eanesisd

Trustees James Spradley, Laura Clark, Heather Sheffield, CFO Chris Scott and I visited the Capitol Monday to speak with legislators about the financial needs of staff and students @EanesISD. Thanks to @DonnaHowardTX, @VikkiGoodwinTX and @SarahEckhardtTX for meeting with us today.

Shout out to Cathi Brown, librarian @eemustangs, who was recognized as Educator of the Month by @WestlakeRotary. Ms. Brown was surprised with a check, flowers and congrats from Rotarians, including Trustees Diane Hern and Heather Sheffield. Great to recognize our staff @eanesisd

Big night at the annual Football Awards Banquet @WHSChaps. Coach Salazar and Principal Ramsey commemorated a great season and a trip to the State Championship game for 365 players and 59 seniors. So much to celebrate @Westlake_Nation and @EanesISD.
