People are no longer getting tested for #COVID19. Everyone is acting like it's over. I had 5 patients since last week who thought they just had a cold and didn't think it could be COVID. They all tested +. They didn't isolate because "it was just a cold". This is so exhausting.

One of the things I most hate about being a doctor is breaking the news to a patient that they have cancer, especially when they are not expecting it. Usually, afterwards, I have to go hide for a few minutes and cry. God bless oncologists! I don't think I could do it.

No vaccine is 100% effective. The reason we don’t see disease like polio or smallpox any more is because enough people have been vaccinated that the microbe has no hosts to infect. This is why everyone needs to be vaccinated for #COVID19 otherwise it will be around 4 a long time.

FACT: Part of my job as a doctor now is fighting these prior-authorizations to get patients the medications they need. FACT: There is no medical evidence in the denials that I receive. FACT: They don't care that the patient may die without the medication.
