For the past year, Chuck's had one major goal: playtime with 5.8 ton, 50 year-old Groucho. After a year and a half of Chuck's persistence, Groucho finally gave in and even tried to level out the playing field by kneeling for 3.4 ton Chuck—our smallest elephant. 🐘❤️
Here’s that adorable baby rhino footage you needed today! Joona has been thriving and already weighs 386 lbs. As you can see, she’s getting comfortable out in the big yard. She’s not quite swimming yet, but she’s having a lot of fun tasting mama Tensing’s food—especially browse!

We've gotten a lot of questions about our same-sex lorikeet couples! We don't assign sexuality to animals. We document what we see as we care for them. With these lorikeets, they perform courtship dances, preen each other, build nests, defend their territory & copulate.
Please join us in wishing Tundra a beary happy 21st bday! We’re thrilled watching her thrive at the Zoo and are honored to provide her with top-notch care and lots of love. Just like most 21-year-olds on their birthday, Tundra slept the day away in her cozy den. Cheers! 🐻
