Davidson College Men's Basketball Coach Bob McKillop has announced his retirement this afternoon. McKillop led the program for 33 years and retires as the most successful coach in school history.
Davidson College condemns bigotry and racism as antithetical to our values and our mission. We are aware of the information that has understandably raised concern, and the college is on it.
The world is 4.5 billion years old, and yet we're lucky enough to live in a time where the
@nytimes
No. 1 best-seller and the
@NBA
's leading points per game scorer are both Wildcats.
Happy Friday.
Good morning to all our Wildcats, but a special good morning to our female faculty members and alumnae with doctorates they earned and so should be rightfully referred to as Dr.
We're proud of each of you.
We want the Davidson community and families to know that the campus is safe. The situation is being addressed, and there are no threats to campus. We are a strong community. We, together, stand and will stand against anti-Semitism and bigotry—today and all days.
Whether because of economic disadvantages or severe disruptions from
#covid19
, many prospective students aren't able to prepare for the admissions process as they would like.
That's why, for at least the next three years, we're going test-optional.
We honor the dignity and worth of every person, including fostering a diverse and inclusive governing body which honors the college’s religious heritage.
We draw strength from and remain proud of the diversity of faith traditions in our community.
Happy first official day of work to two

To create a more just and humane world, we must first acknowledge our past.
That past is painful.
It's our moral obligation to apologize for our complicity in and condoning of slavery. And we must pledge to do more. Read more about our action steps.
BREAKING: The Trump administration has rescinded a rule that would have forced international students to leave the country if their colleges hold classes online this fall. The administration was sued over the new policy by Harvard and MIT.
Stephen Curry’s impact is global, but for Davidson, it's one that’s felt on a personal level. Here’s what
@StephenCurry30
means to us, in the words of our alumni, students, staff, faculty and greater community.

Davidson topped all private liberal arts colleges -- and ranked second among all colleges and universities -- in

Peaceful protest is not only part of expressing those beliefs, it is a cornerstone of active citizenship. Participating in such activity, even if it brings discipline from an applicant's high school, does not jeopardize their admission to Davidson. 2/2
Davidson College will support the Niner Nation in any way it can during this difficult time. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the

Wildcats, do you need airline miles to get home? A place to stay temporarily? Someone local to help you pack?

As the country hangs on the cliff of an eviction moratorium, Davidson College's latest Watson fellow, Langston Stephens '21, will spend the next year traveling the world, researching how to prevent that very situation.
We're very proud of you, Langston.
Davidson's a community committed to access for all talented students, no matter their financial circumstances, so we’re offering the option of deferring fall 2020 payments.
The world needs more Davidson grads who lead with empathy, integrity and courage.
