I’m the proud girl dad of Parker. It’s my duty to protect and provide, to give her the game and show her the way.
With her as my inspiration, I present “Money Talks,” an independent financial literacy journal chronicling our journey to financial freedom.
Bobby Portis just left the United Center. All he had with him was a small Louis Vuitton backpack on his back, a pair of shoes and a Bulls jersey. He looked shellshocked.
Competitive balance is dead. And it died on July 4, 2016. Is this good for anyone other than the Warriors and their fans? The league I love the most sucks right now. Absolutely sucks.
Just spoke to DeMar DeRozan about why he joined the Bulls:
“The talent. Obviously great city. Great organization. The history behind it is definitely amazing. But for sure the talent. Looking at players like Zach. I’ve been a fan of Zach since he’s been in the league… (1/2)
The Bulls are missing eight of their top 11 scorers when you include injured forward Patrick Williams.
All told, the Bulls are missing 87.8 points per game from their lineup.
I’ll be shocked if the NBA doesn’t postpone Tuesday’s game between the Bulls and Pistons. The Bulls can’t even practice. And, yes, at this point Chicago’s outbreak is putting other franchises — and other games — in jeopardy. The NBA has to take a common sense approach here.
I've always known Thunder play-by-play man Brian Davis to be a class act. It's unfortunate he used a poor choice of words last night. But in my opinion it was just that. We all make mistakes. Brian's shouldn't detract from the professional he is and has been for years.
Crowd starts chanting "Bobby sucks" at Bobby Portis after that light dust-up with Zach LaVine.
Portis raises both arms and eggs on the chants, then points to his left ring finger.
Zach LaVine made it back out of the locker room just in time to see Ayo Dosunmu sink a halfcourt buzzer beater to end the third quarter. After official video review, the shot stands.
Donovan on Bulls rookie Ayo Dosunmu: "He's got a certain kind of makeup that I think is really special. He's ultra competitive, and he has unbelievable confidence and belief in himself. But it's not cross-the-line arrogant. That's really a hard combination...He just is fearless."
After his 24-point, 25-rebound game in tonight’s win over the Hawks, Bulls center Andre Drummond went into the stands to hug his mother.
“She’s my biggest supporter,” Drummond said. “She’s been there since day one. She’s always telling me I can do it.”
The Bulls also announce in a news release that general manager Gar Forman has been “relieved of his duties as general manager and will not be involved in the basketball operations department.”
Nikola Jokic was ejected from tonight's Nuggets-Bulls game with 1:08 left in the second quarter for arguing a no-call.
Jokic to the official: "Call the fucking foul."
I was JUST standing next to Wesley Johnson as he rubbed lotion over his torso and joked about smelling good for his wife when he got home...This business is insane. He and his family's lives changed that fast.
Zach LaVine on Bulls fans tonight:
"I haven’t heard that before, so that was really cool for me. The Bulls have one of the best fan bases in sports. When we come back around and we get the support from them, it’s incredible, especially on the road like that in a place like this"
I asked Zach LaVine about the Bulls potentially adding Russell Westbrook:
“Russ is a future Hall of Famer, man. I think you can only respect what he’s done in this league. If he so happens to come on the team, we welcome him with open arms.”
Ayo Dosunmu just became my favorite interview on this year’s Bulls roster. The rookie just keeps impressing. His maturity, confidence and eloquence all are beyond his years.
After his 20-point, eight-rebound, six-assist performance in tonight’s win over Minnesota, Bulls guard Coby White retakes the floor for some postgame shooting.
Kevin Durant on Alex Caruso:
“He’s a phenomenal player. I don’t even want to call him a role player. But just a guy that you can plug with any lineup and he’s going to make the right reads, the right plays on the defensive and offensive side.”
Bulls rookie Patrick Williams just told me he rewatches games against elite players (like tonight's against Kawhi Leonard) 10 to 20 times. "Just to see what they did and how I can implement that into my game," he said.
Final: Bulls 128, Celtics 114.
The Bulls trailed 96-77 with 2:28 left in the third quarter.
Over the final 14:28, Chicago outscored Boston 51-18.
The Bulls improve to 6-1.
With the Chicago Bulls off to a 4-7 start, NBA teams are probing the availability of two-time All-Star Zach LaVine and there’s been increased openness from the organization and player about exploring a trade, sources tell

The Bulls have exercised the third-year team option on guard Coby White and fourth-year team options on Wendell Carter Jr. and Chandler Hutchison, a source tells The Athletic.
Sources: The Chicago Bulls, owners of the 11th pick, held a pre-draft workout today featuring Ron Holland, Terrence Shannon Jr., Ryan Dunn, Kyle Filipowski, Adem Bona and Justin Moore.
Wendell Carter Jr., once again, stands as a voice of reason: "It's some shame in this loss. In my opinion, it's some shame in every loss, especially to a very hurt and wounded Warriors team. I'm brutally honest, we should have won that game."
Competitive balance is dead. And it died on July 4, 2016. Is this good for anyone other than the Warriors and their fans? The league I love the most sucks right now. Absolutely sucks.
Chicago Bulls lead exec Artūras Karnišovas’ mystique has faded, now his massive fan base deserves to know his plan -- if he has one.
My column on a lousy and largely forgettable season in which Karnišovas is largely to blame.

Good news, Bulls fans. Second-year center Daniel Gafford tells us that the team's defensive scheme has now moved to a a "drop" coverage in pick and rolls.
