It's the 8th anniversary of Stardew Valley. Thank you for all the support over the years! Today I am announcing the PC Release date for the 1.6 update: --March 19th--. Console & Mobile will follow as soon as possible.
Stardew Valley has sold over 10 million copies. It's strange & amazing to think back to when I was making this game in my bedroom w/ no clue if anyone would like it. Only 4 years ago! To everyone who has played this game, supported it, and made all of this possible: Thank you!!
A ton of progress on 1.6 last month, it's (self-imposed) extreme crunch mode, nose to the grindstone (raw nose) mode. Heres' one of the many additions in 1.6. Keeping mostly everything secret
1.6 ended up being a little larger in scope than originally planned. I'm done adding major new content to it now, though, and it's in a bug-fixing and polishing phase until it's ready for release. Thx for your patience. It'll be fun to see everyone play it!
Announcing the first ever Stardew Valley Concert Tour, "Festival Of Seasons". A selection of music from Stardew Valley, performed by a chamber orchestra. Cities and dates in the image below. Tickets available starting this Friday 10 am at
Happy new year to all! I hope you all have a very positive 2022. Here's a couple of small images from Haunted Chocolatier. There will be plenty more to come this new year!
There is going to be a Stardew 1.6 update. It's mostly changes for modders (which will make it easier & more powerful to mod). But there is also new game content, albeit much less than 1.5. I'm taking a break from Haunted Chocolatier to work on this at the moment. Then back to HC
Console and mobile 1.6 -- They are in progress and will be released as soon as possible. I have no specific release date, but I will give updates if there is anything significant to share. I really appreciate your patience and understanding.
the ports and next pc update are still in progress. I know it is taking a long time, its on my mind every minute. I have personally been working on the mobile port every day. I will announce when there is any meaningful news (e.g. a release date). hope youre having a good summer
I'm now self-publishing Stardew Valley on Android. With this change, I'm now self publishing the game on all digital platforms. Also, feel free to ask me any questions (about anything ) and I will answer as best I can
I'm happy to announce today's launch of Stardew Valley: The Board Game. It's been in the works for over 2 years. Read more about it here: or visit the shop to purchase:
The 1.6.4 update is out for PC! This patch adds some new content, as well as many improvements, balance changes, and bug fixes. Patch notes can be found here:
Thanks everyone for the Stardew Valley 4-year anniversary wishes. It's been a pleasure, and I look forward to another great year! Now that 1.4 is out on all intended platforms, I'd like to announce that there will be another free content update (1.5)..it's currently in the works!
I would like to announce the upcoming Stardew Valley Cookbook! It'll be out next spring, and includes 50 recipes from the game... such as pink cake, salad, and the strange bun. Cover illustration by

I know that the console and mobile players are eager to play 1.6, and I am doing everything within my power to have the ports ready as soon as possible. The ports require extra work beyond the PC version. There is also another patch for PC underway which is mainly some bug fixes
Stardew is 20% off on Steam for a week, and during this time 100% of revenue will go to help protect whales, dolphins, belugas, and other aquatic mammals through WDC
@whalesorg
. Pictured is a beluga whale,
PSA for people who use mods: A ton of mods are already updated for 1.6 (check out ). Also, I've added a public steam branch that will let you stay on version 1.5.6 if you choose. I recommend trying out 1.6 without mods, but it's up to you
With a new update on the horizon, a worldwide concert tour underway, an official cookbook coming soon, and now over 30 million copies sold, Stardew Valley is thriving more than ever. As always, I'm eternally grateful to the players (you!🫵) for making all of this possible.
If you're a seasoned player thinking of starting a new farm when 1.5 comes out, I'd like to highlight a couple of new features. There will be a new farm type, "Beach Farm", and a new "Advanced Game Options" menu, from which you can adjust some aspects of the game:
I've been playing Stardew online co-op with a group of friends for just over a year. Was a great way to stay in touch during a strange year. Finally got 100%. Just tweeting this to commemorate the event
Well, the world premiere of the Stardew Valley concert was a big success, and the world tour has just beginning. It was fun to meet some of you there. Now it's back to the ol' nose grind...
the 1.5 update is in the "home stretch", it's a very big update so there is a lot of polishing and bug fixing necessary to make sure it's ready. It'll be very fun to share it with all of you in the near future. I think you'll be really happy and surprised with all the new stuff!
Bird's eye view of the new Beach Farm. Also a reminder to check out the new "Advanced Game Options" button on the character creation menu if you're starting a new game!
Ever notice that swinging the sword downward put you at a big disadvantage? It's always bugged me, but I had tuned it that way so that the area of effect would match the visual. For 1.6, I decided that game feel is way more important than precise visual accuracy
Merry Christmas to all!
Also... the porting team, and myself, are working very hard still to get mobile 1.5 out before the end of the year. It's very very close, but there are still some finishing touches.
Stardew Valley 1.5 update... notice anything new in Willy's shop? Progress on the update is coming along steadily. It's still in a "nose to the grindstone" phase, but some good milestones have been met. This update adds a significant new piece of end-game content and much more!
MOBILE: The porting team and I have been working extremely hard this past week on the 1.5 update. We're so close. We could probably release right now. But we need 1 more week to ensure quality. I accept full responsibility for not hitting the end of year target.
Another sneak peek into the upcoming 1.4 update... introducing fish ponds, a new farm building that allows you to raise fish and collects eggs (roe) and other products.
Stardew Valley 1.6.6 is now available for PC. It's mostly bug fixes and translation changes. Full patch notes can be found here:
Console and mobile ports are still in progress, thank you again for your continued patience!
I'm really pleased to announce a physical version of Stardew Valley for Switch & PC! This is in collaboration with
@Fangamer
and there is both a standard edition and a collector's edition w/ bonus goodies. Pre-orders are now available:
I've never seen so many thank-you's. I'm accepting them, holding them, but then sending more back out. It's like a snowball fight but with thank-you's. I like it. Everyone is so polite, and with a good heart. Bless you
🐓 New App Store Great 🐓
We could go on and on, raving about
@ConcernedApe
's Stardew Valley+, but here are a few words to sum it up:
Farm. Fish. Chicken. Community. Serenity. And everything else good in this world.
🕹️:
I'm aware of a crash in the recent patch. It happens if NPC's make it to the island resort changing rooms. Working on an emergency fix ASAP. In the meantime, turn off the resort if you have it, or wait for the patch, it should be out within an hour. Thank you
Hey everyone, happy 'ween (spirit's eve). I know I haven't been too active lately, but don't worry, I'm still here. And mobile 1.5 update is still on track for what I said last: "Before the end of the year". Thank you
4-player Stardew Valley LAN party at my house... it's really fun. It still needs some work, but the underlying network code is solid. Being in the same room and yelling at each other about what to do next, or if anyone has any stone, is great fun. Can't wait to share this
@Hikuzu56
I swear on the honor of my family name, i will never charge money for a DLC or update for as long as I live. Screencap this and shame me if I ever violate this oath
Console players: the update is being submitted to certification today. That can take a variable amount of time so I can't make any guarantee about release date. I still feel that my original estimate of late this month or early next month is likely, though.
The mobile 1.5 update has been submitted for iOS and Android, and will start rolling out to users over the next few days. The update should already be available to some on Android.
