Due to anticipated low temperatures in the morning and some heating issues at VMS, BVPS will operate on a 2 hour delayed schedule on Monday, March 20, 2023. Elementary schools will provide childcare for working families who need assistance with the schedule change.

Due to potentially dangerous high winds this afternoon, BVPS will dismiss 2 hours early on 3/3/2023. 12:30 for elementary schools and 1:30 for VMS/VHS.

Due to a shortage of bus drivers, combined with weather concerns, BVPS will be closed on Monday February 13, 2023. Child care will be provided for working parents of any BVPS elementary students at Van Pelt.

Due to potential for black ice in the pre-dawn hours, BVPS will operate on a 2 hour delayed schedule on Monday 2-13-2023. Child care will be available at elementary schools for parents who need to report to work on a normal schedule.

Students who ride buses 3 and 106 will experience delays in afternoon transportation today. Virginia Middle School will not have the after school program. Hopefully, we will get back to normal next week. We appreciate your patience.

Bus 108 will be approximately one hour late this afternoon due to continued transportation staffing issues caused by illness. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Due to staffing shortages, bus transportation will be delayed this morning. Bus 3 will cover Bus 106's normal route in addition to its own. Expect significant delays to those routes. Bus 89 will not begin running until 8:30. We will share updated information when available.

Due to a large number of student & staff absences, BVPS will be closed on 11–22-22. Childcare will be provided at Van Pelt from 8:00-3:00 for symptom free elementary students whose parents need to work. Custodians will use the day to perform a deep cleaning. Happy Thanksgiving!

As a result of a problem with our HVAC system at VMS and expected high temperatures, VMS and VHS will close at 1:00 pm today. The elementary schools will remain on a regular schedule. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we address this issue.

Athletic Physicals for upcoming 6th through 12th graders will be held at Virginia High School on Saturday May 21st at 8:00 AM. Students must have a current physical to participate in VHSL sports. Cost of physical is $10 and Physical Form must be signed by parent/legal guardian.
