Indexes facilitate the access of new capital, buying an Index is, in fact, less gas-intensive and cheaper to execute compared to buying every asset separately.

🔸 How do Indexes work
Users can perform 4 different actions on our Indexes.

Each one comes with its own benefits, that will be described below 👇

🔸 Minting
Minting an index means providing the correct collaterals of the current composition of the index.
The advantage is that there’s no need for the smart contract to perform all the respective trades on your behalf meaning that the operation is less gas-intensive

🔸 Buying
By trading tokens such as ETH or USDC users can mint $MEI and the smart contract will automatically purchase the underlying collateral. This represents the action of buying the index.

🔸 Selling
Selling an index means sending the Index tokens to the smart contract and it will automatically sell the corresponding amount of tokens in the index for your preferred asset such as ETH or USDC and send you back the respective amount.

🔸 Redeeming
When redeeming an index, a preview module will pop-out where you can input how many Index tokens you want to transact, and currently hold within your connected wallet, and send to the Index smart contract in return for the corresponding collaterals.

🔸BRCS Token
$BRCS is the governance token of the BRC-Standard ecosystem.
It can be used to vote on governance proposals and locked in one of our vaults to earn rewards accrued from our strategies. It will be at the core of the BRC-Standard protocol.

🔸Governance Wars.
In governance wars, entities may accumulate significant amount of $BRCS to sway decisions, especially regarding indexes' token inclusions or allocation changes.
These 'wars' will cause fluctuations in token value, creating opportunities for token holders.
