Balliol has now confirmed offers to its largest ever undergraduate cohort, on the basis of careful review of each case under the University’s Common Framework on Admissions. These include all offer-holders from state-school or disadvantaged backgrounds.

In 2019, Balliol began investigating its connections with the proceeds of slavery and with the British Empire. A seminar on 12 March will present the preliminary results of the study and encourage discussion of its implications. Register at
Today we are welcoming year 12 students to a women-only PPE Taster Day, to meet Balliol tutors and students and receive advice on the admissions process. We're sorry we can't show them round as we did last year, but pleased that having the event online means many more can come.
