Some Logic.
-Da'wah is worship.
-Worship requires sunnah.
-"People won't come if we follow the sunnah" is not a valid reason for leaving sunnah.
"We don't separate between genders because if we did, they wouldn't attend."

Allah تعالى mentions, Ibrahim left the kalimah (لا إله إلا الله) amongst his offspring.
Two steps Ibrahim عليه السلام took to accomplish that:
1. Consistent advice and guidance for his children.
2. Consistent supplication to Allah to guide his children!
