Appalling behaviour which shows no compassion or respect for communities - and it will be stopped.
A message from our public order lead, Chief Constable BJ Harrington 👇
A child who has been transported for the purpose of exploitation has been trafficked.
This could be over any distance including the same village, town or city or houses in the same street.
Missing children may be being trafficked.
#WorldTraffickingDay
Young people can be targets for traffickers.
On
#WorldTraffickingDay
we are asking people to ‘spot the signs.’ If you suspect a young person is in trouble – possibly being exploited or groomed – report it.
Children and young people from all backgrounds are targeted for grooming and exploitation and are trafficked all around the UK.
Young people internationally trafficked into the UK can also be re-trafficked within the UK.

@UNODC
On
#WorldTraffickingDay
we are supporting partners by spreading the message about child trafficking and the measures we can all take to protect the vulnerable.
#modernslavery
The theme for
#WorldTraffickingDay
is 'Leave no child behind'.
Any child who's a victim of trafficking should be referred into the NRM.
Our guidance with
@NatWorGroup
and
@barnardos
is for those working with YP transitioning to adulthood.
Millgreen Road in
#Amesbury
has been closed following a gas leak.
Officers are assisting to evacuate homes within 100 meters as a safety precaution.
We would advise people to stay away from the area until further notice.
