Mine does shit like this too and it used to be infuriating but now I see how much I’ve healed and changed from the trauma and how much they haven’t whenever I am obligated to interact. They are stuck in their ways. I feel a mix of pity and apathy for them now as they age.

Update on my little one: They had emergency surgery and assuming things are well to be discharged from the hospital by this afternoon. Thank you for all the well wishes and more importantly, thank you to my partner. I cannot even imagine going through this alone as a single mom.
