On this day, in 1969, The Who played Redcar Jazz Club, North Yorkshire. Here's Roger Daltrey photographed on the night by Graham Lowe.
57 years ago tonight, The Who first appeared on Ready Steady Go! - Studio One at Wembley was packed with mods wearing Who scarves to support their favourite group. “We basically took over the show’ said Roger Daltrey. “We nicked their tickets and filled it with our audience."
