The UK-built @ESA Biomass satellite will soon be heading to Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana! 🚀 The mission will provide crucial data on how forests are changing, and further our knowledge of the role forests play in the carbon cycle.🌳 Learn more 👉
A sneak peek at @esa's Biomass satellite in the cleanroom at @AirbusSpace in Toulouse! The satellite will soon leave for Europe's spaceport🚀 Biomass is the first satellite to carry a radar instrument capable of penetrating the forest canopy to measure the biomass and height of forests, consistently across the globe and across different forest types.
