Wrapping up my first visit to Iraq with NATO. Grateful to the Prime Minister and President for their gracious hospitality. Also thankful to all those serving in @IraqNATO - our advice supports Iraqi security and strengthens the NATO-Iraq partnership.

I welcome the #UK’s plans to further increase investments in defence. In a more dangerous world, 2% will not be enough to keep us safe. We need to spend considerably more. We also need to replenish our stocks. There is no time to waste.

#Portugal is a founding #NATO member providing essential contributions to our transatlantic security. To keep our Alliance strong, we must continue to adapt & we need to ramp up our efforts now.
